About PeriphCheck
PeriphCheck exists because checking whether a keyboard key works, a controller stick drifts, or a microphone picks up sound shouldn't require downloading software, creating an account, or wondering where your camera feed goes.
What we build
A complete suite of hardware tests that run entirely in your browser using standard web APIs — the Gamepad API for controllers, Web Audio for sound, getUserMedia for cameras and microphones, and plain input events for keyboards, mice and touch screens. Every tool works the moment the page loads, on desktop and mobile.
Our principles
- Client-side only. There is no backend. Your keystrokes, audio and video are processed in your browser's memory and never transmitted.
- Fast. Static pages, system fonts, no frameworks shipped to your browser beyond the code each tool needs.
- Honest. Where browsers limit what a test can measure — polling caps, vibration support, hardware latency — we say so on the page instead of pretending.
