How it works
The DeathAdder V2 was Razer's answer to the double-click epidemic: its optical switches fire with a light beam instead of metal contacts, so contact bounce is physically impossible. When a V2 misbehaves, the cause is almost always something other than the main switches — this test helps you find which part.

Known issues on the Razer DeathAdder V2
Main buttons are effectively immune to double-clicking, but the scroll wheel is the V2's weak point: rattle on shake, squeaking after a year, and skipped detents as the mechanical encoder wears. Synapse can also cause phantom behavior — profiles with surface calibration or high debounce settings produce tracking and click oddities that vanish when Synapse is closed. Some units develop side-button mushiness.

Sensor and tracking
Move the pointer smoothly across the arena. Jumps, stutters or a cursor that won't reach the edges point to a dirty sensor lens, a bad surface (glossy or glass), or a failing sensor. Wipe the lens, try a proper mousepad, and re-test before blaming the hardware.

The test arena suppresses the context menu while your pointer is inside it. If a menu still opens, click once inside the arena first so it has focus.
